Super-market, Chinese and Japanese food packagings injected by deka permanent liquids
Super-market is a food packagings prints project developed during a residency period at The Blank Contemporary in September-October 2018.
The idea was born in a multicultural quarter of Bergamo as a reflection on global market laws. I bought a series of oriental food products and modified their internal substance without touching their persuasive power. The result is a sequence of photos of beautiful objects once utilitarian, now rendered decorative.
Playing with the power of commercial beauty of (expired) food products, consumerism can become a contemporary instrument of artistic expression.
